Join Soderberg’s Florist this weekend for the 2015 LoLa Art Crawl. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, from 10am-5pm in the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis.

Soderberg’s will be hosting two artists in-shop during the art crawl. Ashlee Bennett, of pinesugar, a fine artist and large format film photographer; and Sue Schweitzer, whose pottery is created for daily interactive experience.

Bennett will be displaying her large format photographs and have fine art prints for sale. She will also have the 4x5 film camera set up, with an interactive floral installation piece sponsored by Soderberg’s, where LoLa Art Crawl participants can purchase a portrait session and learn more about 4x5 film photography.

Schweitzer’s functional pottery is high fired in gas reduction or soda firings. Schweitzer describes the effects of soda as “it tells a story about the way the fire dances around the piece.” Stop by Soderberg’s Floral during LoLa, Sept. 19-20, to view more of her work.

The intimate LoLa Art Crawl gives visitors a glimpse into the creative workspaces of over 100 artisans working on jewelry, glasswork, painting, collage, photography, textiles, pottery, sculpture and more.
