Our Guarantee

Every order is important to us; we earnestly endeavor to please every customer with beautiful flowers and provide superior customer service. Knowing that flowers are a perishable natural product, and that floral arrangements and floral gifts are all custom made in house by our talented staff, we make every effort to fortify our floral products and ensure the quality, accuracy and beauty of our work. Many variables determine whether a flower will last as long as anticipated or whether a designer has created something which you will enjoy.  Because we constantly seek ways to bring some of these variables under our control for improved floral performance, we welcome your comments and inquiries.

Soderberg’s Floral & Gift Local and Nationwide Delivery Policy

We offer many options for delivery:

  • We hand deliver to the entire Twin Cities Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area.
  • We arrange delivery for greater Minnesota, Nationwide and International locations. Each of these services has its own special practices and policies. Often, we use services such as FTD or Teleflora. We also will call a florist directly as not all florists are members of these services. This service has an additional fee of $7.99.
  • We ship nonperishable gifts and a limited amount of green or blooming plants, using UPS, FedEx or USPS. Expect 5 to 10 business days. Express delivery is available upon request and at an additional charge. The shipping fee will vary. The handling fee is $7.99.

 

To simplify our delivery rates the following options and policies apply in MOST cases.

Exceptions include timed deliveries, early morning or late evening, special handling, overweight or long distance or one-off delivery. Set up for large events and weddings may have additional charges. 

Standard Delivery: In most cases orders received before 12:00 pm (Noon) in the recipient's time zone are considered same-day delivery.  We make every effort to get your order out the same day, however orders received after that time and opted for Standard Delivery will be delivered the following day.

Late Same Day Delivery: If you place an order after 12PM (Noon) there is an additional Late Same Day Delivery fee of an additional $10.00.  If you do not select this option and opt for Standard Delivery - your delivery will automatically be sent the next available delivery day.   If you place an order for outside our local delivery area in either greater Minnesota or Nationwide- every attempt will be made to accommodate with another florist however most florists do not take late same day deliveries. If we are unable to accomplish this, we will arrange delivery for the next possible time and the additional delivery charge will be rolled into the cost of the floral design selected.

MOST times we will inform you of this change however if cannot confirm with you with in a timely manner, we will arrange for delivery in the next possible time slot. Once ab order is placed with another florist we are not able to cancel and the customer will be responsible for the cost of this service

Sunday Delivery:   Considered a premium option there is an additional $15.00 for Sunday delivery service. This is the case for MOST of the Twin Cities Metro area, however we are not able to accommodate some outlying suburbs and communities. Unfortunately, our website is not able to cut off our normal delivery range for just one day of the week therefore every attempt will be made to contact you in the event we cannot deliver in the recipient’s area on Sunday.

If you place an order for outside our Sunday Delivery range and have selected the Sunday option, we will attempt to find a florist that will accommodate this premium service. If we are unable to accomplish this, we will arrange delivery for the next possible time and the additional delivery charge will be rolled into the cost of the floral design selected. MOST times we will inform you of this change however if cannot confirm with you with in a timely manner, we will arrange for delivery in the next possible time slot. Once order is placed with another florist we are not able to cancel and the customer will be responsible for the cost of this service.

If you opt for Standard Delivery on Sunday- it will automatically be delivered to the next available Standard Delivery slot. (Monday)

Order Tracking

Because our hand delivered flowers, gifts and fruit baskets are freshly made and locally delivered we are unable to provide up-to-the-minute ETA’s, statuses, or online tracking. When placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation and receipt via email.

Local deliveries our staff will send a delivery confirmation via email at the time it was delivered. Greater Minnesota and nationwide delivery confirmations can not be tracked or made online. We do have access to delivery confirmations from florists and typically receive those 24 hours after the scheduled delivery date. It is best in these cases to check with us 24 to 48 hours after the scheduled delivery.

Timed Delivery Requests

We always strive to do our best to accommodate deliveries requested for specific times of day, but we cannot guarantee any specific timed deliveries without sending them by special courier. This is a premium service, and an additional charge will apply. 

Special Circumstance Deliveries

  • Delivery of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed.
  • There is a Placement Fee required in addition to delivery charges for some cemeteries. Please contact us regarding the fee as it varies per cemetery.
  • We do not deliver to PO Boxes.
  • We can not deliver to MSP airport or Terminal 2 airport
  • We can not deliver to MSP Air force base.
  • We can not deliver to some financial buildings downtown. Usually we can meet a recipient on the street. PLEASE INCLUDE A PHONE NUMBER FOR RECIPIANT.
  • Fort Snelling Chapel is only open 15 minutes before service. A special delivery fee to deliver to this building.

International Delivery

We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly. However, we are unable to accept international orders online. A special relay charge applies. 

If no one is home to accept:

Depending on the delivery location, if the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery person may leave the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, such as with a neighbor, or leave a message for the recipient to call to arrange for delivery. 

Incorrect Address
If the recipient's address is incorrect and delivery was attempted to the address, there is a $15 address correction fee. Soderberg’s Floral & Gifts is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.

Funeral Homes
These orders are our very highest priority. If you have ordered too late for us to create and deliver to the funeral service, we will call to let you know asap. Often we can help and accommodate you by having flowers sent to the home of the deceased family. If you do not know the zip code or exact address of the funeral home, we will look it up for you. We normally contact the funeral home to verify the time of the viewing and make arrangements for the flower delivery.  If you have selected a delivery date that is before the actual visitation or service, we will deliver per the funeral home instructions.  Depending on time of service we may elect to deliver a day early to a church or funeral home. If you have ordered for a funeral viewing on Sunday and it is too late to deliver on Saturday or Sunday, we will contact the funeral home to verify that there is a viewing or service on Monday and reschedule the order.

High Schools
High schools do not accept deliveries for students. Please send teacher's gifts to the high school and any student orders to their residence. Orders to high schools should be placed early because they usually must be received by 2pm. An additional rush charge may apply.

Weekend Delivery Policy
Sunday Delivery does not include the entire Metro area. Distant suburbs could be an extra charge. Sunday deliveries often are made by Uber, Door Dash or courier therefore we must verify that someone will be home to accept the delivery. If we are not able to confirm the delivery will be postponed until Monday. We will make efforts to keep you informed but if you are unavailable, we will deliver the package in the next available regular delivery time slot.

Apartment buildings and hospital deliveries are not always possible on Sunday. If we are unable to arrange for delivery on Sunday and time permits, we will setup for delivery on Saturday, including Birthday and Anniversary orders. If the Saturday or Sunday option is not available, then the order will be scheduled for Monday, and we will do our best to inform you of the rescheduling. 

PO Boxes
We are unable to deliver flowers or ship nonperishable gift items to a P.O. Box or an A.P.O. addresses.

If no one is home
If the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, depending on the delivery location and weather conditions, the delivery person may leave the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, such as with a neighbor, or on a porch or doorstep.  If we feel it is unsafe location or area is unprotected, we will leave a message with contact information provided for the recipient to arrange for another delivery time.

Incorrect Addresses
If the recipient's address is incorrectly given to us and a delivery was attempted, there is a $15 address correction fee. Soderberg’s Floral & Gifts is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is left outside or with neighbor and permission was by either the recipient or customer is given to leave at doorstep, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.

Recipient may be contacted prior to delivery.
While we strive to ensure your delivery is a surprise to the recipient; in some cases, the florist may contact the recipient to ensure s/he will be home to accept the delivery.

Request to leave item at door.
The customer and recipient assumes all liability for requests to leave arrangements. We highly discourage special instructions requesting delivery to a doorstep, porch, yard or any location where the recipient cannot accept the arrangement themselves. Soderberg’s Floral & Gifts cannot be held responsible for missing or damaged products due to this special request. 

Recipient refusal of delivery
If the recipient refuses to accept a delivery, you are held fully liable for the cost of the order and delivery attempt. 

Anonymous Deliveries
For years we have tried to determine the best way to deal with requests to send flowers anonymously (no signature on greeting card). Many florists refuse to send deliveries anonymously. To satisfy our customers’ wishes we have continued to allow this practice. Almost always the recipient calls us to find out who sent the delivery. Due to issues with stalkers and overzealous suitors people take this anonymous gesture very seriously. In the spirit of expressing emotions with flowers, we do our best to make this a positive situation instead of something that could weigh on the recipient's mind or even torment them. Therefore, we WILL divulge the sender’s name, address and phone to ease the recipient's mind. By ordering from us you agree to this policy.

Card Messages
The message that you write in the Card Message field is the actual message that is sent with the gift. Miss spellings or grammar are not the responsibly of Soderberg's.

Every order is sent a confirmation by email where it is clearly explained that we can only make changes before the delivery is wrapped for delivery. Every effort will be made to make the correction before the package has left our location. We will NOT contact drivers to change card messages after the package has left our facility.

We do not include any billing information with your order.

Taxes & Pricing 

Minnesota and local sales tax are applied to every order unless you submit a tax exempt certificate and number prior to delivery.  Sales tax will not be changed after package has left the facility. 

Substitution Policy

Every Effort is made to deliver as instructed and we strive to always meet your expectations but substitutions at times are necessary. Please remember all our items are custom made by hand - variations will be present

Fresh Flowers

At Soderberg’s Floral & Gifts we are committed to delivering your important emotional sentiments on time, as fresh and beautiful as possible. Because of the nature, seasonality, and regional availability of flowers it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the arrangement by considering the overall shape, size, style, and color combinations. In single-variety arrangements the variety will take precedence over color. For instance, if an order is for yellow daisies, they will substitute another color of daisies, not another yellow flower. White roses and cream roses may be substituted for each other as well as peach roses and pink roses. Purple and pink orchids may need to be substituted for white orchids and vice versa.

Balloons

All hospitals and most public buildings do not allow latex balloons. Mylar balloons may need to be substituted for latex balloons on some orders. However, mylar balloons are more expensive therefore you may have less balloons in the order than expected.

Plants

For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type but may substitute with another color. Containers for plants vary and are discontinued often. We may need to substitute the container, be assured we will select one that is as close as possible.

Gift Baskets

To guarantee freshness and timely delivery, substitutions within a gift basket may be made with items of greater or equal value. We will be happy to update this information with the shippers, just keep in mind there can be fees and restrictions involved to make a change once a package has been shipped. Please contact our Customer Experience team to discuss all available options.

Substitutions for Special Occasions

Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery.  If the flowers you specifically requested are not available, will make every effort to contact you via the phone number(s) or email address you provided us.

Giftware & Non-Perishables Return Policy

To be eligible for a refund, you must return the product within 14 calendar days of receiving your product. Customer pays for return shipping. The product must be in the same condition that you received it and undamaged in any way. 

After we receive your item, our team of professionals will inspect it and process your refund. When returning a product to our shelves, Soderberg’s charges a 25% restocking fee and original shipping charge. After the restocking fee is determined, the remaining money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement.

If the product arrived damaged in any way, or you have initiated the return after 14 calendar days have passed after receiving the product, you will not be eligible for a refund.

If an item we shipped to you arrives damaged or is defective. Please contact us right away and take photos of the damage. If we have stock on the item we will reship asap. If we do not have stock, then either you can pick another item to exchange or we will process a credit.
